In preparation for the snow plowing season, some are posting along the edge of roadways to mark for the snow plow. Please make sure you are posting those markers 3-5 feet from the edge of the road to allow the snow to be piled in the right-of-way. Welcome to East Gull Lake! We're glad you have chosen East Gull Lake as your new home. East Gull Lake provides its residents a sense of community and is blessed with a variety of wonderful assets to enjoy.

Within our city limits, we have several beautiful lakes with over 38 miles of shoreline, over 9 miles of newly paved multi-use trails,108 holes of golf with two courses highly ranked by Golf Digest Magazine, tennis courts, miles of groomed cross country ski trails, as well as 5 wonderful resorts and restaurants with all facilities open to the general public including 10 restaurants, shopping, ice cream parlor,2 golf driving ranges with teaching professionals and much more.

The US Army corps of engineers has a great facility that offers swimming, picnicking, playgrounds and a history exhibit. They also have a boat launch to Gull Lake.

Our city attracts both year-around residents and seasonal residents seeking the attractive and exciting amenities of a very popular vacation and retirement destination.

Cass County has recycle bins in the north end of the City of East Gull Lake parking lot. It provides a bin for glass, cans and plastics and a separate bin for mixed paper.

There is also a bin from Waste Partners for corrugated cardboard.

Please note that plastic bags are not allowed in the bin as they get caught in the sorter. Please dump bags into the bin and place bags into supplied trash bin.

Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection

Cass County provides mobile collection each year for Cass County residents, rotating between the Cities of Lake Shore and East Gull Lake. Please check Cass County website for further information.

Also, below is the nearest transfer site for household garbage disposal as well as mattresses, furniture, waste tires, used appliances and used oil, filters and antifreeze. Contact the facility for disposal fee information:

May Township Transfer Site (218-746-3593) 2 ½ miles west of the Junction of Cass County Roads 1 and 34
